International events

Creditcards, PayPal, Wallets, etc…

We set up KoorTickets for the Dutch cultural sector. That is our main goal. We can keep our rates so low for this market by, in addition to relying on the cultural enthusiasts who work as volunteers on our platform, making optimal use of the Dutch  iDEAL and SEPA payment methods. That’s how we are and can remain to be the most affordable e-ticket servie in the Netherlands. See for yourself.

On popular request, we have decided to also give international cultural events a chance. Or rather: to give international visitors a chance. Some of them will not be able to pay with iDEAL or SEPA and that is why KoorTickets gives organisers the possibility to offer other payment methods such as creditcards, PayPal, Bancontact, etc. The rates for other payment services are however typically higher than iDEAL. Creditcards, for example, charge a percentage of the sales amount. That is just how it works. Creditcard payments also carry the risk that the visitor can reverse the transaction. In such a case, the sold tickets are of course deactivated by KoorTickets, but as organiser you would probably prefer to have the certainty that a sold ticket is a sold ticket, right?

That said, if you choose to do so, it is possible to enable these alternative payment options by selecting “Divers” as the payment method on the event input page. The associated fees are listed below - click the icon to see a short description of the payment service.

When your customer chooses the bank transfer payment method, we will immediately and automatically refer your customer to our payment screen. On this screen, your customer will see all the information required to pay for the order. Once your customer has transferred the amount, it will take at least one working day for the money to arrive on the Stichting Pay.nl account. Using the unique payment reference, we can then link the order to the correct merchant and set the status to ''paid''. Since the introduction of the SEPA standard, the term ''European transfer'' has been launched. This is also called ''SEPA transfer'' or ''Euro payment''.
